New concept for hospice charity shop launched

St Mary's Hospice in Ulverston, the hospice covering South Lakes and Furness has opened a new shop at the junction of Portland Walk and Dalton Road in Barrow-in-Furness, relocating their previous shop from further along Dalton Road. The new shop has been launched under the name Re:Love by St Mary's Hospice, and includes provision for the Hospice's
E Bay department as part of the fit-out of the shop. The new unit provides more than double the space of the previous shop with a high quality fit-out more akin to a high street fashion retailer rather than a charity shop. The Hospice agreed a 10-year lease with break at year 5 on substantially more attractive terms than their previous premises. Peill & Co advised in the transaction, with Jury O'Shea Solicitors acting for the landlords and Progression Solicitors acting for the Hospice.
