Historic Kendal Shop Let to New Occupier
29.02.2016

Acting on behalf of private landlords, Peill & Company have let 69 Stricklandgate in Kendal, the former East Shop, to independent Coffee Shop operators relocating from Otley in Yorkshire. The building is renowned in the area, being a Grade II listed building, and the new business will trade as The Bristly Hog Coffee Shop as a nod to the famous model of a wild boar projecting from the front of the building. The property has an interesting history and the latest letting will see a change of use to a high quality coffee shop. The new tenants established Heebies of Otley, a business which they have now sold and relocated to the South Lakes area.
Peill & Company’s agency department conducted the letting of the shop, and the building is managed as part of a portfolio on behalf of the private client by the property management department. Our Building Consultancy department have acted in connection with refurbishments of part of the property.
