Peill & Co, the PAI member for Cumbria, Lancashire and the Lake District have agreed the sale of a former day centre in Kendal, South Lakes, on behalf of Leonard Cheshire Disability at a price significantly in excess of the marketing figure. The property attracted strong interest, resulting in an early closing date for receipt of offers, and a sale to a more local charity, RSPCA Westmorland Branch, who will continue to utilise the property for charitable purposes. The RSPCA have been seeking alternative accommodation in and around Kendal for a considerable number of years, and the building suited their needs ideally as offices, meeting rooms and ancillary accommodation. Simon Adams, Director of Peill & Co commented ‘the strong interest which we generated in the property as soon as it went to market demonstrates good ongoing demand for commercial property in Kendal particularly, and the Lake District area generally. We received interest from owner occupiers and investors, and we were delighted to conclude a sale to RSPCA Westmorland Branch’
