Former WH Smith store let on a new lease

Peill & Co have facilitated the letting of a former WH Smith store in Cheadle, Staffordshire, on behalf of a private property company to an independent trader, who will continue use of the property as a CTN and convenience store. The property, at 38-42 High Street, Cheadle had been occupied by WH Smith for a considerable number of years, but they remained in occupation on expiry of their previous lease on a rates-only deal with a mutual landlord and tenant break clause, which was exercised in order to allow the new letting on commercial terms. Peill & Co’s property management department are instructed in the ongoing management of the property, and the building surveying department have dealt with end or lease dilapidations with WH Smith.
