Who are Peill & Co?

Peill & Company Chartered Surveyors are the commercial property specialists of Cumbria and the Lake District and also covering a wider area of Lancashire, the north of England, Yorkshire Dales and southern Scotland. Established in 1980, for over 40 years we have provided professional, impartial advice across all sectors of the commercial property market throughout the region. We are also members of The Commercial Property Network (CPN) which is a network of privately owned independent commercial property consultancies throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, meaning we can provide advice nationally with trusted partners.

Simon is a director of the company and, having worked with Peill & Company since 1989, has extensive knowledge of the commercial market throughout the region. Simon is the first point of contact for new clients and deals with all aspects of agency, property management, valuation and is qualified as an expert witness. In the winter months he can be found lurking in the Alps for as long as possible, and other interests include rugby, fell walking and kayaking.

Stuart Tolch joined the company in 2012 as an Associate Director, and established our building surveying department. Stuart has extensive experience in all forms of construction across all types of property and sectors. Stuart acts for both landlords and tenants throughout the region. In his spare time Stuart enjoys rugby, playing golf and following Formula 1 motor racing.
Andrew C Peill FRICS

Andrew was the founder of the company in 1980, having previously been active throughout the north-west with Mason Owen & Partners and Matthews & Goodman. Andrew has a wealth of experience of the market and deals with owner managed businesses. The only Cumbrian-based Spurs supporter, Andrew is also keen on rugby, golf and skiing.

Pete joined Andrew Peill in the early 1980s from being a retail surveyor with Hepworths (now Next) and specialises in retail and investment property, having 30 plus years' experience of the retail market throughout the north of England. In his spare time he can be seen cycling over Lakeland passes and throughout the Yorkshire Dales, with other interests including skiing and following Preston North End.
